Gamification in learning has been proven to engage and focus learners four times more than e-learning. This is because gamification elements such as points, badges, leaderboards, and challenges can help motivate learners and make learning more fun and rewarding.
We have recently partnered with Skill Dynamics to create a groundbreaking 3D virtual supply chain game. The game is designed to challenge and push the boundaries of participants’ skills and knowledge.
In the game, players take on the role of a Supply Chain Manager for a bicycle manufacturer. Their primary goal is to understand what has happened to cause a supply chain disruption and to develop a plan to resolve it. The game is designed to be both challenging and rewarding. Players who are able to successfully complete the game will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and complexities of supply chain management.
There are a few key things to keep in mind when implementing gamification in employee training:
What skills or information do you want your employees to learn?
There are many different gamification elements to choose from, so it’s important to select the ones that are most relevant to your learning goals and target audience.
Gamified lessons should be engaging and rewarding, but they should also be challenging enough to keep learners interested.
Feedback is essential for learning and motivation, so make sure to provide your learners with regular feedback on their progress.
Give learners autonomy and freedom to fail. Learners should feel like they have control over their learning experience and that they are free to experiment and make mistakes.
Educators and trainers are harnessing the power of gamification to transform education and training. By implementing gamification effectively, you can help your learners to engage more deeply with the materialand retain information for longer.
